    Saints Earn Accolades and Secure Shutout Wins

    Men’s Cross Country—Junior Nick Lyndaker was named USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week and Liberty League Performer of the Week following running to a first-place finish at the Hamilton Short Course Invitational. He had a personal best time in the 5k run, winning the race by 21 seconds.

    Football—The Saints took home the Hoffman Cup with a victory over Norwich Friday, bringing the Cup back to the North Country by a 20-9 final score. The win marked the fourth-straight Hoffman Cup win for the Saints and improved their record to 1-1 for the season.

    Women’s Soccer—Darcie McDonough was named Liberty League Co-Defensive Performer of the Week after leading the Saints to a 2-0 record. The senior netminder stopped two shots in a 1-0 victory at SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday, then on Saturday did the same, stopping both shots she faced in a 4-0 win over Oswego State.

    Women’s Cross Country—First-year Avery Blanchard was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week for her performance at Hamilton, running for a time of 14:59 and a fifth-place finish in the 4k race. 

    Women’s Hockey—Senior forward and alternate captain Abby Hustler was named a Preseason All-ECAC Hockey selection, as announced by the league office on Monday morning. Hustler led the Scarlet and Brown with 24 goals and 31 assists for 55 points on the season. She tallied 12 power-play goals and five game-winners.

    Making a Difference One Plate at a Time

    Every week, nearly two dozen St. Lawrence students come together to prep, cook, deliver, and serve food to local community members in need. These volunteers are part of one of the University’s most unique and impactful student organizations, Campus Kitchens, whose mission is twofold: reduce food insecurity as well as food waste on campus and in the greater Canton community.

    Exhibition: Mulyana-Fragile Ecologies

    - Richard F. Brush Art Gallery Explore the final week of the "Fragile Ecologies," exhibition featuring two life-size, hand-knit and crocheted costumes, several Mogus (monster) creatures, and a series of sumptuously knit coral islands.

    Letter-Writing Event: “Dear North Country”

    - Ireland Lounge, Noble Center The Richard F. Brush Art Gallery and the English department are hosting “Dear North Country,” an in-person letter-writing event. The event is part of an international project called "Make Visible"–an ongoing, community-led project developed by New Zealand artist, curator, and activist Shannon Novak.

    Saints Clinch Liberty League Playoffs 

    • Men’s Basketball: The Saints secured a Liberty League playoff berth with a Friday night victory over Skidmore. Junior Adam Dudzinski led the team with 18 points, while junior Dan Anderson added 10. St. Lawrence now turns its focus to tonight’s first-round matchup against third-seeded Vassar on the road.
    • Women’s Basketball: St. Lawrence closed out the regular season with a commanding 62-40 win over RPI, clinching the fifth seed in the Liberty League playoffs. Junior Jackie Malley drained five three-pointers en route to 17 points, while sophomore Elizabeth Flynn contributed 10 rebounds and nine points. The Saints will travel to RIT on Tuesday night for a win-or-go-home first-round game.
    • Women’s Tennis: The Saints extended their winning streak to three with a 5-2 home victory over Rochester on Sunday afternoon. A sweep in doubles play and strong singles performances from junior Molly Jesperson and first-year Eleanor McDermed led the way in a complete team effort.
    • Men’s Hockey: Senior captain Mason Waite has been nominated for the 2025 ECAC Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award, as announced by the conference on Thursday. The award recognizes the male ECAC student-athlete who best exemplifies leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement. Waite, a three-time ECAC All-Academic Teamselection, is set to earn the honor for a fourth time when the 2025 recipients are announced.
