Gallery talk presented in conjunction with the exhibitions "German Modernism: Sound and Vision" and "Sven Sandberg: Paintings", on display at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery from February 19 to April 10, 2024. Brook Henkel holds the Ph.D. in Germanic languages from Columbia University and taught at Haverford College before joining St. Lawrence University in 2016. Visiting artist Sven Sandberg received an MFA from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 2016. He has exhibited primarily in Ireland and the United States.

On May 20, the St. Lawrence University Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution to rename Madill Hall, now to be known on campus as Fox Hall, also the designated home of the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity.
