    A Culture Is Not a Costume is based on Understanding the Differences Between Cultural Appropriation and Cultural Appreciation, a traveling exhibition organized by the Akwesasne Cultural Center, located twenty-five miles from Canton. Selected artworks from St. Lawrence University’s permanent collection are also included in the exhibition.

  4. Chemistry department hosted the 14th Annual Undergraduate and Graduate Chemistry Research Symposium

    On April 20, 2024, St. Lawrence University and the SLU Chemistry department hosted the 14th Annual Undergraduate and Graduate Chemistry Research Symposium for the Northern New York Section of the American Chemical Society. Over 80 students and faculty from six local universities came to present their research and to network and build connections between our different institutions. The student posters and presentations were excellent – a special congratulations to Brooke Westcom for winning second place for her oral presentation! It was a great day and we can’t wait to do it again next year.

  6. SLU Writers Series present Aimée Baker via Zoom

    The St. Lawrence University Writers Series welcomes poet Aimée Baker '04 via Zoom. Baker's debut poetry collection, Doe, dramatizes the untold stories of missing and unidentified women across the United States and was selected as the winner of the 2016 Akron Prize.

  7. Upstate University Hospital’s Mammography Van On Campus

    The Upstate University Hospital Mammography Van will visit St. Lawrence University, outside of the Sullivan Student Center, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Screenings will be available between 11am and 4pm for women who have scheduled an appointment.
