Saints Secure Weekend Wins, Earn Humanitarian Awards 

• Esports: The Saints recorded their best season ever this Spring with a combined win/loss record of 22-13. Overwatch went the distance, throwing down the Gauntlet 4-1 against Thomas College in the conference finals to secure the Saints first ever National Esports Collegiate Conference title win. Team captain first-year Josh "Yashi" Kobayashi had multiple game-winning plays through his comfort pick, Moira. With this win, Overwatch has received an auto-bid to Nationals where they will be joined by the Saint's Rocket League team to fight for a place among some of the nation's top collegiate Esports teams.
• Men’s Tennis: The Saints picked the up a 4-3 win in a tight match against Union at home this past Saturday afternoon. Seniors Edvin Strandberg and John Hill-Edgar picked up wins in both singles and doubles, as first-year Armaan Walia won 6-2, 6-0 in the fifth spot to secure the win.
• Men’s Lacrosse: The Scarlet and Brown went 2-0 on the week. First, upsetting No. 14 Middlebury 7-6 and then taking down Ithaca 10-9. In the Middlebury match, sophomore Daniel Mahoney led the way with four goals, and in the Ithaca match, junior Cam Croasdaile put in the game-winning goal to secure the sweep for the week.
• Women’s Lacrosse: The Saints completed a comeback with a strong second half against Rochester to take a 12-7 win. Sophomore Jessica LaPlaca led the charge as she put in four goals, and first-year Cate Rathnam, sophomore Keira Dodd, and senior Neve Ley all found the back of the net twice.
• Women’s Ice Hockey: Graduate student Sarah Thompson was awarded the 2025 Hockey Humanitarian Award by the Hockey Humanitarian Foundation at the men’s NCAA Frozen Four this past Friday night. She is the first recipient of the award from St. Lawrence. Thompson started a not-for-profit foundation called “Sticks Together” during her time as an undergraduate. She was a finalist for the award in both 2023 and 2024.

Springfest Was A Movie🍿🎥✨

The atmosphere on campus was electric for Springfest this weekend! Student band Loose Leaf kicked things off with an incredible set, and Stolen Gin set the perfect vibe before headliner A$AP Ferg lit up the stage. Huge thanks to ACE for organizing a night that reminded us of what makes this community so special—good music, great people, and the kind of energy that makes St. Lawrence feel like home. Saints Sweep the Weekend and Earn National Honors

• Baseball: The Saints picked up three wins this past week, taking down Vassar 9-4 in the backend of a double header. Sophomore Mike Siano, senior Timothy Connor, and senior Sean Desjardins all recorded two hits. The team also picked up back-to-back wins against Hobart this past Saturday, winning both games 7-3, as senior Michael Hutchins and sophomore Boden Driscoll dominated on the mound.
• Softball: The Saints won four games this week, recording two doubleheader sweeps against Potsdam and Union. Against Potsdam, they won 4-3 and 5-2, where sophomore Izzy Melanson and first-year Marleigh Monroe had wins in the circle. Against Union, they recorded 9-5, and 8-0 wins, coming back to beat Union in Game 1 of the twin bill.
• Women’s Lacrosse: The Scarlet and Brown took down Skidmore 10-5 this past Friday, where sophomore Jessica LaPlaca had a career-best eight points. They finished the weekend 1-1.
• Men’s Lacrosse: In the Route 11 rivalry matchup against Clarkson last Wednesday, the Saints won 9-7 after an electric final quarter where they outscored the Knights 5-1. Last Thursday, sophomore Daniel Mahoney and senior Charlie Miele earned spots on the USILA Team of the Week for their play in the wins against Middlebury and Ithaca.
• Football: Seven players earned a spot in the 2025 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Seniors Oskar Baldwin, Matthew Dahill, Joseph O’Neil, Evan Pastino, Cole Salyards, and Dexter Seeley were all named recipients of the achievement.
• Track and Field: Both teams competed in the Middlebury Invitational this past Saturday. On the men’s side, junior Patrick Russell won the 3000-meter and junior Nick Lyndaker won the 800-meter, and the team consisting of first-year Dylan Keating, sophomore Caleb Young, junior Kris Mellor, and senior Leif Harvey won the 4x400-meter relay. On the women’s side, sophomore Carly Zack took home a win in the 3000-meter run with her time of 12.09.86, and junior Amelia Berthold had personal bests in the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles.
• Women’s Golf: Senior Mary Grace McCann and first-year Sadie Cumming both shot 80 to tie for second place in a dual match with Union this past Friday.

NYC Semester Wraps Up With National Model UN Conference

To wrap up the New York City semester, St. Lawrence students participated in the National Model United Nations conference. Over five days, our students represented Sweden across ten different committees, engaging in discussions about pressing global issues.
