  1. Get to Know St. Lawrence’s New Digital Media and Film Major

    In an ever-shifting media landscape, St. Lawrence’s new digital media and film major will empower students to think critically and creatively about the content they consume and produce. After four years of interdisciplinary classes and opportunities to gain real-world experience, students will be well-positioned to confidently take on careers in journalism, videography, graphic design, film, and more. Program co-chairs Sarah Knobel, associate professor of art and art history, and Brook Henkel, associate professor of German and film studies, shared what students can expect from this innovative new major.

    St. Lawrence University celebrated the inauguration of Kathryn A. Morris as its 19th president at an installation ceremony held on campus Saturday, October 22. In her inaugural address, she outlined her vision for new initiatives to ensure the 166-year-old University continues to thrive while preparing students for lives of global impact far into the future.

  3. St. Lawrence Students Win Grant to Address Hunger in Canton

    St. Lawrence University was one of five colleges in the national Campus Kitchens network that will receive $3,000 to address rural hunger in their community. The sub-grants totaling $15,000 are sponsored by Denver, Colorado-based CoBank.

  4. St. Lawrence University Expands Its Use of Clean Energy

    St. Lawrence University has entered into two long-term agreements that will provide approximately half of the University’s electrical power needs with renewable clean energy. Together with their clean energy offset purchase program, these agreements will ensure that nearly 100 percent of St. Lawrence University’s electricity will come from clean sources by summer of 2016.
