I am a SLUzer through and through. As a Canton local who grew up attending hockey games and music events on campus, it felt inevitable that I would attend and graduate from St. Lawrence. Little did I know how impactful that decision would be on my career.
I graduated from SLU in 2017, having majored in history and minored in African studies and German. As an undergraduate, I was a Community Assistant, studied abroad in Kenya, sang with the Laurentian Singers, TA-ed for German, worked in the library, and met some of my best friends.
After graduating, I attended Canisius College and received my master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. During those two years of grad school, I worked at Daemen College as a summer hall director and graduate assistant for Conference Services, then at SUNY Geneseo as the graduate assistant for Late Knight Programs and graduate intern in the Study Abroad Office. I stayed at SUNY Geneseo for an additional year to serve as the Interim Study Abroad Advisor in the Study Abroad Office before returning home to SLU.
I now oversee Lee, Rebert, Priest, and Reiff Halls as a Residential Coordinator, which is a tremendous joy and privilege. I thoroughly enjoy working with students to help them grow and see what they do with their SLU journey. When not working, you can usually find me reading, knitting, dreaming of where to travel next, baking/cooking, watching The West Wing, and pondering why SLU squirrels aren’t as fat as they should be based off of how frequently they scavenge trash bins.
