Rich Basler

Rich joined the University Advancement staff in January 2020 as the Executive Director of Advancement Operations and leads the Prospect Research & Management, Records Management and Advancement Information Systems teams. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic long- and short-term direction and leadership in the areas of advancement services, gift processing, data management, reporting, analytics, predictive modeling, prospect research and portfolio management.

Rich was recently elected to the CFRE International Board of Directors and began his first term in 2023, where also serves on the Exam Committee as a subject matter expert and Finance Committee. He is also currently on the Board of Directors of The Orchestra of Northern New York. Previously, he served for six years on the Board of Trustees of Kinnara, one of Atlanta’s premier professional chamber choirs, most recently as Vice President.

In additional to his CFRE, Rich has also earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation from the American College of Financial Services.
