Appointments Available for Free Biometric Screenings

Again this year, St. Lawrence University is offering all benefit-eligible employees a voluntary benefit aimed at enhancing wellness. US Wellness, our biometric screening provider, will be on campus October 5 and October 6 in Leithead Fieldhouse. The screening will take approximately 15 minutes.  The goal of the screening is to increase awareness in your own health and help you make progress on your health goals. The confidential biometric screenings are provided to you free of cost and will include the following measurements designed to identify common health risks:

• Total cholesterol (TC), including HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and TC/HDL ratio*
• Glucose*
• Blood pressure
• BMI (measured height & weight)
• Waist circumference

*It is recommended that you fast (no food or drink except water) at least 8 hours prior to your screening appointment. Please remember to drink plenty of water while fasting to remain hydrated.

Immediately following your screening, you will have access to your screening results. Testing is confidential, and results will not be shared with St. Lawrence University. St. Lawrence University will only receive a summary of the aggregate results but will see no individual results.
