Lukas “Luke” Harvey ’18 had a promising geological career ahead of him before he tragically passed away following a ski accident in March 2018, but his memory endures as his work continues to impact the field of geology. A paper he co-authored with his advisor, Professor of Geology Antun Husinec, was recently published in Elsevier’s journal Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology.
St. Lawrence alumnus Jeff Mogavero ’16 recorded the fastest debut in race history at the 52nd annual Western States Endurance Run held June 28-29—the oldest and most prestigious 100-mile ultramarathon in the United States—where he finished in fourth place with a time of 14 hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds.
Alessandro Giardino, Co-Chair of WLCM (World Languages, Cultures, and Media), Coordinator of European Studies and Associate Professor of Francophone and Italian Studies contributed with a short story to Here and Now: An Anthology of Queer Italian-Canadian Writing . The short story, titled "Micheal," is a stand-alone modified excerpt from his forthcoming novel.
