Drew Lanham, an award-winning poet and an alumni distinguished professor of wildlife ecology in the Forestry and Environmental Conservation Department at Clemson University. This reading is supported in part by the Sandra Nelson Memorial Poetry fund.

    Kayla Williams, along with Ellie Pruneau, Dan Pappalardo, and Zach Brown, will perform traditional pieces as well as music by Max Bruch, Wayne Shorter, Debussy, William Grant Still Jr./ Miles Davis, and her own compositions with Chris McCarthy.

    This exhibition explores the ways in which we comprehend the past, and how the things that have happened impact our futures. Each work of art invites the viewer to question; when and where has this happened? How did it happen? What is our responsibility and relationship with what we can no longer control, real or not?

  4. University Chorus: 75 Years Later – A Musical Celebration of the end of World War II

    Music is associated with the times of WWII, both popular and classical. Songs include “As Time Goes By”, “The White Cliffs of Dover” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” co-written by SLU’s own Kim Gannon ’24. The featured work is Song of Thanksgiving by Ralph Vaughan Williams, commissioned by the BBC to be performed at the end of hostilities.
