In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, join Native American Affairs & Seven Dancers Coalition (from Akwesasne) for a cultural conversation on residential schools and intergenerational trauma.
"Residential schools have left a legacy of shame and humiliation on Indigenous people. Participants will learn about the absence of trust when it comes to our people and outside agencies and how we got to this place. By taking a look at the impact of Residential schools, the 60's Scoop and forced sterilization on our communities, we will seek to understand how the trauma is still very much present and how we can start to heal".
