Physician

To become a physician, you can earn either a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree after graduating from SLU. Medical school admissions committees are looking for applicants who will be academically successful, perform well on the USMLE Step 1, interact well with patients, and interview well for residency programs. You can demonstrate as an undergraduate that you will be a great medical student with your academic performance, MCAT score, volunteer and clinical experiences, and your medical school interview.

St. Lawrence University has several courses designed to help you gain the skills you need to be an outstanding applicant: Health Coaches I & II and Foundations of Medicine I & II.
