We want to provide you with an update on registration before break begins. IT continues to work closely with our vendor, Ellucian, to try to uncover and correct the technical issues that impeded registration last week and they will continue to do so throughout the upcoming break.
We plan on opening Rounds 2 & 3 of registration as follows:
Round 2 (register for up to 2.75 units): Registration opens at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, and closes at midnight.
Round 3: (register for your remaining 2 classes --worth up to 5 units total for FY students and up to 4.75 units total for other class years): Registration opens at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30, and remains open through Dec. 15 at midnight.
As mentioned above, IT has been working and will continue to work to try to improve the likelihood that you will have a more successful experience when registering after the upcoming break. Unfortunately, at this moment we cannot guarantee a fix for the slow processing time and other technical issues you experienced in Round 1, so we ask sincerely for your continued patience and forbearance through the rest of the registration process. The system will remain open for registrations through the rest of the semester, so there will be time to continue working on your schedule if need be.
IT has shared that the increased strain on the system that results when one user logs in to multiple browsers or uses multiple devices to try to register is a factor in slowing down system processing time. In addition, being logged into APR2 multiple times may interfere with the system’s ability to process your registration requests. Please understand that you will both maximize your own best chances for success and help improve everyone else’s experience if you use one device and one browser. If you have submitted a proxy registration, you should not try to log in and register yourself nor should you ask anyone else to do so on your behalf.
Wishing you a wonderful, relaxing break.
