Job Title: Student Worker

Job Description/Duties: Respond to tutoring requests through the Office of Academic Advising; arrange tutoring sessions; meet regularly and provide quality guidance and instruction generally for an hour, in one-on-one and occasional group sessions. Maintain updated knowledge of course materials, effective tutoring strategies, and interpersonal communication skills. Attend tutor trainings. Submit brief session documentation online. (This is a paid position, generally 5- 10 hrs/week.)

Special Skills Needed: Must be committed to helping students learn how to become more independent, effective learners. Must have earned a grade of 3.25 or higher in the course(s) tutored, and must maintain an overall 3.0 or higher GPA.

Available Hours: Flexible
