Recording a screencast with Anthem

This article explains how to create a screencast with Anthem, the recording piece of our Ensemble video streaming platform. Users must contact Educational Technologies to set up an Ensemble video library and access to Anthem.

Details: 

Create a recording

  1. Log in to Ensemble at https://ensemble.stlawu.edu with your St. Lawrence username and password
  2. Click Record
  3. If you do not have the Anthem application installed, you will be prompted to download and install it
  4. When the Anthem application opens, visit Settings to confirm that your video and audio sources and recording qualities are correct
  5. Click Record
  6. Choose the combination of sources you wish to record
  7. When the recording has finished, click DONE
  8. The recording will open in the editor where you can choose to trim or chop sections of the recording
  9. Click DONE
  10. Add a title and description for your recording
  11. Click UPLOAD

Publish to a playlist

Your recording will be uploaded to your media library in Ensemble. To assign the recording to a playlist in your course:

  1. Log in to Ensemble at https://ensemble.stlawu.edu with your St. Lawrence username and password
  2. Locate the recording and click Publish
  3. Check the Default Category box corresponding to your playlist
  4. Click Publish
