Using Junk Mail

Overview: 

This article explains how to manage your junk mail folder.

Details: 

On Outlook 2016 and 2011 for Mac:

Viewing Junk Mail:

  • To view your junk mail select 'Junk' on the left side of the screen below your 'Inbox'

Adding a sender's messages to Junk Mail:

  • Select the email that you would like to add to junk.
  • Right click on the email and select 'Junk Mail' then 'Mark as Junk'
  • Outlook will remember that you marked this message as junk and subsequent messages from this sender will be sent directly to the "Junk" folder

​Removing a sender from the Junk Mail folder:

  • Select the email that you would like to return to the normal inbox
  • Right click on the email and select 'Junk Mail' then 'Mark as Not Junk'

 

 

On Outlook 2013 and 2010 for Windows:

Viewing Junk Mail:

  • To view your junk mail select 'Junk' on the left side of the screen below your 'Inbox'

Adding a sender's messages to Junk Mail:

  • Select the email that you would like to add to junk.
  • Right click on the email and select 'Junk' and then 'Block Sender'
  • Outlook will remember that you marked this message as junk and subsequent messages from this sender will be sent directly to the "Junk" folder

Removing a sender from the Junk Mail folder:

  • Select the email that you would like to return to the normal inbox
  • Right click on the email and select 'Junk' and then 'Never Block Sender'
