SLU Advocates

Advocates is a support system for survivors and peers of survivors of sexual assault, relationship and domestic violence and abuse and stalking. Aware trained advocates run a 24/7 helpline where we can provide support and answer questions. Our main objective is to direct members to services on campus. We work to raise awareness about these issues, such as consent education, and services that are available.

Every semester the student Advocates organization runs an aware training program, modeled after the federal program. Conversations are confidential, but we are trained to direct survivors/ peers of survivors to resources and offer support.
