First Person: Finding My Passion and Personal Brand

After a semester of exploring different classes at St. Lawrence, Owen Hammel ’22 still wasn’t sure where he wanted to focus his college experience, at least not until a favorite rap album inspired him to try his hand at video editing. Over the next few years, Owen tailored his classes to fit his growing passion for videography and honed his skills while capturing campus life as a member of the student marketing team.

First Day of Classes and Convocation

Convocation is a "calling together" of the academic community at the start of a new year. Its purpose is to mark by ritual a new beginning for our mission as a university and acknowledge the accomplishments of faculty and staff members who are part of St. Lawrence's academic community.

Welcoming Home Our Newest Laurentians

This weekend, the St. Lawrence community welcomed new students and families during Move-In Day and Matriculation. Bags were unpacked, words of wisdom were shared, and a lot of hugs were given as the Class of 2026 officially made Canton, New York home. View photos from the weekend on the St. Lawrence Instagram account.
