New Business:

ADA handrail at the Chapel: A capital request will be submitted for FY24.  Pending approval, handrails will be installed on the stairs at the main entrance of the Chapel. CLOSED.

Cat de-stress location: Laura Lavoie asked that the committee continue to talk about additional spaces on campus where we might permit animals, as there may no longer be a location available in the Chapel. The students really enjoy these events, and they continue to be popular. The committee agrees that providing space for these events is important and discussed a few spaces to consider as possibilities.  Laura will be provided the feedback. CLOSED.

Snow removal: Sharmela brought up two concerns she was forwarded; one is the sidewalk leading up to Flint from J lot has been plowed but the accessibility to it is not and Fox Hall handicapped spots are not being plowed out.  This information will be passed onto Grounds so they can address these locations. CLOSED.

Slip, Trip and Fall training: A training was provided by Marsh Associates and was recorded and is now linked on the EH&S webpage. Slip, trip and fall accident reports are significantly down this year with only three reported.  Over 200 pairs of ice cleats have been provided to employees this winter. CLOSED.

Tabled:

Paul Redfern and Pat Gagnon are revising emergency Response Plan. We will be rolling out Guardian and Alertus to the campus in the near future.

Future Meetings:

The meetings will continue to be the first Friday of the month: 4/1/22 and 5/6/22. The meetings will be conducted via Zoom until in-person meetings are approved when conditions allow and then will be held in the Torrey Conference Room, located in the Diana Torrey Health and Counseling Center from 8am-9am.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:19 a.m.
