Environmental Studies eReference Collection

This is a collection of research and reference for major global environmental issues. The specific topics covered include sustainability (theory and practice), global environmental change, global warming, environmental health, green ethics, green education, water, and environmental history. We believe this collection will facilitate work in Environmental Studies, our Sustainability Program, Biology, Conservation Biology, Government, and the work in the humanities and social sciences that ask students to consider the environment.

AGRICOLA

Covers the world's agricultural literature, including plant and animal sciences, forestry, soil and water resources, and earth and environmental sciences. Records describe journal articles, book chapters, books, series, microforms, audiovisuals, maps, and other types of material.

Environment Complete

Environment Complete contains more than 2.5 million records from more than 2,350 domestic and international titles dating back to 1888 (including over 1,350 active core titles). The database contains full text for more than 930 journals, including many of the most used journals in the discipline, such as Environment (back to 1975), Ecologist, Conservation Biology, etc.

General Science Abstracts

General Science Abstracts is a multidisciplinary index that includes all science fields. It has full text of articles from nearly 100 periodicals, dating as far back as 1995, graphs, charts, diagrams, photos, and illustrations and abstracting and indexing as far back as 1984 for many peer-reviewed journals.

GPO Monthly Catalog

Covers all types of U.S. government documents, including Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; and documents issued by executive departments (Defense, State, Labor, Office of the President, etc.)  Contains over 500,000 records, many of which include links to the fulltext.
