Laurentians in Residence is a collaboration between Career Services, University Advancement, and the Student Alumni Association. The program brings Laurentian leaders to campus to connect with students through classroom presentations and group meetings, an interactive panel discussion with Q&A, and informational coffee chats. Five young alumni will be on campus March 1st and 2nd to engage with students, share experiences and answer questions, and offer insight into life during and after St. Lawrence. This program is sponsored in part by the Alumni Executive Council.

PIERSON FOWLER '14

Manager of Corporate Partnerships, Harris Blizter Sports and Entertainment

Pierson Fowler, originally from Michigan, graduated from St. Lawrence with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Performance & Communication Arts. He is the Manager of Corporate Partnerships with Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) based in New York City. As part of the partnerships team, Pierson is focused on reaching out to local, national, and international companies to sell marketing partnerships for sports teams and entertainment properties in the NBA, NHL, EPL, and Esports under the HBSE umbrella. During his time at HBSE, he has seen the portfolio of properties grow two-fold.

Prior to joining HSBE, Pierson spent the summer after graduation at Fenway Sports Management (FSM), an opportunity he sought through his Laurentian connections, in a Sales Training program where he conducted market research for FSM’s family of properties in MLB, NASCAR, EPL, Collegiate Athletics, NESN, MLB digital properties, and athlete representation. At the conclusion of the Sales Training program at FSM in Boston, he was placed on the partnerships team at HSBE.

While at St. Lawrence, Pierson interned with CEO of the Priceline Group, Jeff Boyd, was a three-year starter on the Men’s Lacrosse team, an Admissions Ambassador, and an active member of both the Hunting & Fishing Club and the Investment Club.


ASHLEY JEFFRESS '13

Program Manager, Women@HubSpot

Ashley Jeffress is the Program Manager for Women@HubSpot, where she creates innovative digital content, events and strategy for the advancement of women in the workplace. She works to build leadership programming that empowers women by identifying opportunities and providing resources for every stage of career growth. She oversees this initiative for HubSpot’s seven global offices.

Ashley graduated from St. Lawrence with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performance and Communication Arts and Sociology. After graduation, she moved to Boston, MA where she started her career as a Buyer for e-commerce retailer Wayfair and after that as a Merchandising Manager for The Grommet. Outside of the office Ashley is the co-leader of an organization called LEVO, which works to arm its members with the resources to grow their professional network through its online platform and in-person events.

While at St. Lawrence, Ashley toured prospective students as an Admissions Ambassador, studied abroad in London, sang A Cappella with the Singing Sinners, and led recruitment for Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Ashley grew up in Wilton, CT and although she’s lived in Massachusetts for the last five years, she refuses to become a Patriots fan.


TONISHA KERR '15

Junior Analyst, Canaras Capital Management

Tonisha Kerr serves as a Junior Analyst at Canaras Capital Management, LLC, where she is responsible for assisting in financial analysis and credit investment decision-making. She is currently pursuing the CFA Charter (Chartered Financial Analyst).

Tonisha graduated from St. Lawrence in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business in the Liberal Arts, and a minor in Chinese Studies. During her time at St. Lawrence, she was active in numerous clubs, including the Crown Royalty Investments Club (CRIC), SLU Buddies, and the Fashion Club, while also holding positions as a Teaching Assistant and Peer Tutor in Economics, HEOP Summer Program Math Mentor, Community Assistant, and Office Assistant in Academic Advising. She spent the fall semester of her junior year studying abroad in Shanghai, China and the spring semester participating in the NYC Semester Program. Tonisha was also a Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program Scholar and a part of the SLU Higher Education opportunity Program (HEOP).


TAI NIXA PETERSON '12

Database and Development Coordinator, Himalayan Cataract Project

Tai Nixa Peterson, originally from New Hampshire, graduated from St. Lawrence with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and African Studies. For the past five years, she has been working in fundraising and development for organizations including the Explore & More Children's Museum and The Park School of Buffalo. Currently based in Vermont, Tai works as the Database and Development Coordinator for the Himalayan Cataract Project, a nonprofit organization that works in underserved communities in the developing world to eradicate preventable and curable blindness through high quality ophthalmic care, education and the creation of eye care centers.

While at St. Lawrence, Tai participated in the Kenya Semester Program, Anthropology Club, Literacy for Nepal, the Women's Resource Center, the Dance and Theatre department, and the Costume Shop.


DZIFA YADOR '11

Producer, Velocity

Hailing from The Bronx, NY, Dzifa has always had a passion for television and entertainment. During her junior year at St. Lawrence, she received an internship with MTV Networks and never looked back. Six years later, Dzifa is now a Producer for Velocity, Viacom’s in-house creative agency. It is her hope that she can inspire students to think outside the box professionally, and fearlessly pursue his/her dream job.

While at St. Lawrence, Dzifa majored in Performance and Communication Arts and minored in Government, graduating with a Bachelors of Art degree. She was also a member of the Black Student Union, Thelomathesian Society, and an intern with Career Services.
