Pre-registered guests may pick up your schedules and name tags. On-site registration will be available for guests who have not yet registered and coveted Laurentian Weekend totes will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cash only. 

12 – 5 p.m. | Senior Class Sign Fundraiser

Sullivan Student Center

Purchase a SLU yard sign to show your Laurentian spirit! Two sign options will be available for purchase and all proceeds directly support the Senior Week fund for the Class of 2024.

12 – 5 p.m. | Exhibition: Environment, Health, and the Body in Traditional Paintings from Contemporary India

12 – 5 p.m. | Alumni Executive Council Silent Auction

Sullivan Student Center

Place your bids! Support the Alumni Executive Council’s efforts during the 2023 Silent Auction, which will include one-of-a-kind St. Lawrence memorabilia and experiences. Proceeds from bids will fund the Alumni Council’s Power of Connections Endowment. Sign Up today, review the catalog of items and be ready to bid throughout the weekend! The auction will also be hosted online throughout the weekend from 12 p.m. on Friday through 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

1 p.m. | Exploring the Pipes and Stained Glass Windows of Gunnison Memorial Chapel

Laurentians feel home at Gunnison Memorial Chapel; it is where our community goes in moments of excitement, sadness, and reflection.  Join two Laurentians who ensure the spirit of Gunnison is in full force, Dr. Shaun Whitehead and Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, as they lead a presentation of the 1926 Estey Organ and the enchanting stained-glass windows, learning the meaning and historical significance etched in each pane. Come when you can; leave when you must!

1 – 3 p.m. | Omicron Delta Kappa Car Wash Fundraiser

Driveway behind the Global Dialogue Center, across the street from the Brewer Bookstore

Vehicle a little worn and weary from your travels? Stop by this annual car wash event to get your car spick-n-span and support a great local cause, the Canton Bear Packs program. 

2 – 3 p.m. | Internship Fellowship Poster Presentations 

Winston Room, Sullivan Student Center

St. Lawrence University Internship Fellowship recipients will be available on Friday afternoon to share stories of their research experiences from an 8-week summer internship. Students will be available to describe their internships and answer any questions. This is an informal session where guests can stroll through the student posters to casually gain insight on some of the many experiential learning opportunities SLU students pursue!

2:30 – 3:30 p.m. | Biology Honorary Inductions and Biology Department Open House

Main Lobby, Johnson Hall of Science

Join the Biology Department to learn more about programs and research offerings as well as to celebrate the newest biology honorary inductees.

3 p.m. | 2D Book Nook! 

Yellow Pipe Room, Owen D. Young Library

Stop by this installation by Liza L. L. Paige, which transforms a physical three-dimensional corner of the library into a two-dimensional illusion of a drawn reading room. Viewers are encouraged to snap pictures and post to social media with #2DBookNook!, #odylibrary, or #slulibraries. Available for viewing during library hours. 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. | SLU Fellow Poster Presentations & Honors Reception

St. Lawrence University Fellowship recipients will be available on Friday afternoon to share stories of their research experiences from an 8-week summer research project. The Owen D. Young Library received a high-tech makeover this year. Come check it out! Explore innovative uses of technology in our Digital Scholarship Studio, learn about economic analysis in the Bloomberg Finance Lab, examine rare books from our Special Collections and Archives, or hear how the WORD Studio develops student communication skills. You can also climb a Tree House study loft, relax in our massage chairs or the beautiful Josephine Young Room, or take a selfie in the 2D Book Nook!

I-House, 1 Lincoln Street

Come join the Common Ground Connections Club, I-House and 8 other clubs and organizations for a delightful dinner together as a Laurentian family. There will be several different foods to try (for example, Indian Express and Sergi’s). Feel free to bring something to share with others if you are able.

SLU professor and astronomer Dr. Aileen O'Donoghue will be joined by NASA Partner Eclipse Ambassadors Tyler Karasinski '24 and Zach Jaworski '25 to answer your questions and foster your sense of wonder for our solar system. The first eclipse is just around the corner on October 14th!

Join Nature Up North, an environmental education organization based at St. Lawrence, for a guided hike alongside the Raquette River! We’ll enjoy a ~2 mile round trip hike on rolling terrain with a couple steeper hills. Please note that guests will need their own transportation, but will follow a vehicle caravan to the trailhead.
