I have been volunteering most of my life. In middle school I was a peer mentor to other students with mental and physical disabilities. During my high school career I continued being a peer mentor and also tutored middle school students in history. My favorite volunteer memory is when I spent a month in China, teaching English to migrant workers children. It was an unforgettable experience and I have been dying to go back. Other than volunteering and helping others my other passions are cooking and traveling. I hope to make my way to every country at least once. So far I’ve been to: China, Germany, London, Vietnam, Hong Kong and various other places. My favorite music artists are: Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Jack Johnson. I also have a serious addiction to Law & Order SVU and American Horror Story. After St. Lawrence, I plan on pursuing a Masters in Social Work and Counseling to become a social worker. Why do you volunteer: I like to give back to my community. I also want make a positive impact on people’s lives. Plus, volunteering is fun and it’s a great way to bring people together!
