Circle K

Mission: Developing College and university students into responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to serving the children of the world.

Circle K is part of a national organization, Circle K International (CKI), which is the premier collegiate, and university community service, leadership development, and friendship organization in the world. With more than 12,600 members in 17 nations, CKI is making a positive impact on the world every day. The organization is given the freedom to decide how to volunteer and what purpose to raise money for.

Two events the SLU Circle K chapter hosts and volunteers with each year are:

• SLU Dodgeball Tournament held in the Fieldhouse

• Volunteering with NYSARC

This organization encourages and promotes the following ideals:

• To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life;

• To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships;

• To promote the adoption and the application of high social, business and professional standards;

• To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship;

• To provide through Circle K clubs a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities; and

• To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism, which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.
