Location: Newell Field House

Description: The Outdoor State of Mind FYP in collaboration with the CBL office is hosting a community event to welcome local North Country kids to campus.

Scope of Work: Assist in facilitating & participating in Fair games, face painting, yoga, and more!

Shifts: 12:30pm-2:30pm OR 2:30pm-4:30pm

Phantoms in the Park

Location: Village Park, Downtown Canton

Scope of work: Help judge the Halloween Contest and bring youth around for the parade to local business to trick or treater

SLU: Make a Difference Day

Location: Eben Holden Conference Center (check-in & day-of registration: 9:00am)

An annual day of service event that strives to engage students in activities and projects with the local community. Potential project(s) range from, but aren’t limited to, organizing, raking, painting, or weeding, etc. 

Shifts available: 10:00am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-2:00pm

GardenShare: Fight Hunger Fair & 5K

Location: Canton Village Park

Event Time: 12:30pm-3:30pm

Mission: "GardenShare promotes a local food system that ensures food security for all St. Lawrence County residents.(GardenShare website)

Overview of Event: Activities: Face Painting with KDS, live music by String Solstice, 50/50 raffle, food and drinks from Canton Apples and One Steep at a Time, and other educational activities. Presentation of GardenShare's 2022 Growing Community Award.

Autism Awareness Walk

Location: Canton Village Park (Park Pl, *water fountain/across Post Office)

The Arc of Jefferson-St. Lawrence

Mission: "Provide lifelong opportunities that enhance the lives of people, so that they may achieve their hopes and aspirations." (The Arc website)

Scope of work: Assist with lawn games and activities, and/or other duties as assigned.

Shifts available: 8:00am-10:00am or 10:00am-12:00pm
