Spring 2026 A&AH Honorary Society Inductees Announced

The Art & Art History Honorary Society welcomes new honorees for the 2025-2026 school year. The formal induction ceremony will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 just prior to the Opening Ceremony of the Senior Seminar Art Exhibition.

St. Lawrence University Announces 2026 Piskor Lecture Featuring Damon Berry

St. Lawrence is pleased to announce that Associate Professor and Chair of Religious Studies Damon Berry will deliver the 2026 Piskor Lecture. His lecture, titled “God, Guns & Grievance: A History of Religion in the American Militia Movement,” examines the evolving relationship between religion and anti-government movements in the United States.

Recent Acquisition of Akwesasne Mohawk Basket

The Richard F. Brush Art Gallery is pleased to announce the acquisition of The Spirit of Basketmakers; Past and Present, an urn-shaped black ash and sweetgrass basket by Akwesasne Mohawk artist Nanci Ransom, a tradition bearer with more than thirty years of experience.

On October 4, the Environmental Studies Department held a dedication ceremony at the Living Lab to honor the memory of Dr. Carolyn “Carrie” Johns. The event brought together close family, friends, and colleagues for a thoughtful remembrance of Carrie’s dedication to environmental education, community, and stewardship.

Gallery Acquires Beaded Belt by Akwesasne Artists

To create this belt, the artists used homemade sinew made from the backstrap of a deer, dyed deer tail hair, porcupine quills, gold-dyed deer hide, glass seed beads, brass beads and cones, and nylon string.
