Dr. Erin McCarthy, Professor of Philosophy, will discuss mindfulness strategies designed to enhance advising outcomes for both advisors and advisees, helping students reflect on their broader purpose. Chaplain Kathleen Buckley will discuss how meditation can affect the autonomic nervous system to help us manage fear and anxiety. And Dr. Laura Rediehs, Associate Professor of Philosophy, will discuss how stress can cause us to compromise our values of integrity and will demonstrate meditation techniques to reduce stress. Please join us October 3, 4:30-6:00 p.m., Carnegie 018. Light refreshments will be provided.
