Sociology Majors Present Research at Conference

Five Sociology Majors presented their research at the annual meeting of the Eastern Sociological Society in Boston from March 21-24th.  The Conference was titled: Sustainable Communities/Sustainable Lives: Social Change, Social Action, & Social Justice.

The presenters and their projects were:

Feiona Maxwell '13: In times of Sorrow, I Ramajay; A comparative analysis of West Indians in New York City and London.

Shaneequa Tiwanna Castle '13 and Margaret K. Bass: Yuh Understand or Yuh Overstand?: A Deeper Analysis of Jamaican Dancehall  Culture.

Iris Louise Longo '13: Age and Education as Predictors of Sexual Prejudice in the College Classroom.
