The mission of St. Lawrence’s Social Media Team, created in January 2013, is to assist those managing University social media accounts by creating content; offering insights and constructive criticism; providing event coverage; crafting and executing projects and initiatives; and generating other unique ideas to keep St. Lawrence’s social media presence among the best in higher education.

The Team is looking for several new Student Content Strategists - first-years, sophomores and juniors eager to spend a few hours a week finding the most creative ways to share stories and experiences that celebrate students and faculty, engage alumni, parents, and friends, and help potential future Laurentians discover more about St. Lawrence. Student Content Strategists are volunteers; they do not get paid and do not receive course credit.

We are looking for students who have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience creating written and visual content for a variety of social media channels
    • Professional experience is encouraged but not required
  • An interest in sharing stories about the St. Lawrence experience

Please fill out the biographical information, answer the Statements of Interest, and upload your most recent resume below. Please note that spelling, grammar and punctuation on both your resume and in your Statements of Interest will be taken into consideration when evaluating your responses. Please limit each answer to 150 words or less, unless otherwise noted. Selected students will be welcomed to the team in April 2018.
