(Last Updated March 15, 2021)
We appreciate your patience and flexibility as our team navigates the challenging road to Reunion 2021. All of us had hoped that pandemic conditions would improve enough for us to celebrate in person in July. After careful consideration of the status of COVID-19, resources in the North Country, and in line with public health protocols and in consultation with Reunion leadership, we have come to the conclusion that we cannot host an on-campus gathering in July.
The uncertainty regarding New York State and local guidelines including travel restrictions, quarantine procedures and gathering size limits were certainly factors in our decision, but the health and safety of both our potential guests as well as our fellow residents of the North Country is our top priority. This disappointing news likely doesn’t come as a surprise, and due to size limitations, the only classes we are able to roll into Reunion Weekend 2022 are the 50th Reunion classes of 1970 and 1971.
However, we as a St. Lawrence community remain committed to our pillar that Laurentians Celebrate, and we intend to do just that.
Our team along with fellow University staff and Reunion volunteers will collaborate on a Virtual Celebration for Every Laurentian to be held in the month of June. This date change is strategic, in that it will allow us to celebrate Reunion milestones, the success and impact of The Campaign for Every Laurentian, as well as the retirement of President Bill Fox ’75. More information will follow in the days and weeks ahead.
All of us on campus appreciate the patience, resilience and support you’ve shown us more than ever as we struggle with these challenging decisions. Know that our commitment to you being connected to each other and engaged with campus is unwavering, as you are the lifeblood of St. Lawrence University.
Hail Alma Mater!

Reunion Weekend 2020 Fundraising Update:
With the news of a robust Reunion 2020/2021 celebration, we would also like to share our thoughts and plans around the Reunion fundraising effort.
We understand the events of COVID-19 are changing day by day. In partnership with our Reunion chairs and committee members, we have made the decision to extend the Reunion class fundraising and crediting period to June 30, 2021. This means that as our Reunion planning efforts continue throughout the year, our fundraising efforts will as well.
We will work closely with Reunion chairs to reassess class fundraising goals at the end of the 2020 fiscal year to see where, if at all, we may need to make adjustments as we head into 2021.
We are most grateful for your involvement with the Reunion efforts thus far, and we hope you and your families are staying safe and healthy.
