O'Donoghue Wins Two Community Awards

Aileen O'Donoghue, Priest Associate Professor of Physics, has won two community awards in recent weeks. On November 16, she was honored as the eighth recipient of the Leon LeBeau SOARing Educator Award by the SOAR Board of Directors. This award honors a teacher “who has made a major contribution to the education, experience, and well-being of SOAR members".

And she has just been named a 2016 recipient of the Macsherry Family Community Spirit Award by the United Way of NNY. The award is named for Richard and the late Mary Macsherry, long-time philanthropists in the north country. It is the highest award given by the United Way of NNY, which annually recognizes one individual and one business in each of the three counties it serves.
