Wannie was originally from Taiwan and more recently Los Angeles, California. She started as a Jeffrey Campbell Fellow at St. Lawrence University in 2006 and is now an assistant professor in the Education Department. Wannie teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses and is an active member in the Asian Studies Program.
Wannie's research interests include curriculum development, multicultural and international education, heritage language learning and English as a second language, immigrant students, and qualitative inquires in educational research.
Wannie received her Ed.D. in Cross Cultural Studies in Higher Education from Alliant International University in San Francisco, California. She also holds a B.A. in Chinese Literature and has received graduate-level training in interpersonal communication. She practices yoga, enjoys music and movies, and loves dogs.
