Dr. FitzRandolph is Associate Professor of Economics, and has been teaching economics to bright young minds at St. Lawrence since 1973, except for a three-year hiatus during which he served as Vice President for Student Affairs. He regularly teaches courses in Investments, and in American Economic History. His early research concentrated on financial intermediaries in the post bellum south and was published in the Journal of Economic History, while current research centers on the pioneers of American finance and investment banking during the period 1770 to 1820.
Dr. FitzRandolph has served on the St. Lawrence County Legislature for seventeen years where he currently chairs the Finance Committee. He frequently speaks to local groups on the financiers and entrepreneurs of 18th and 19th century New York.
