B.A. – St. Lawrence University
Current Professional/Research Interest:
I’m currently working on upgrading all of our lighting equipment in our facilities, including electrics, rigging, control networks, and lighting instruments.
In June 2011, I produced several instructional videos on how to circuit, program, and operate ETC Selador and Chroma Q LED lights.
This summer I participated in an ETC Ion lighting console workshop at New York Live Arts Performance Center in New York City. I worked alongside Broadway lighting designers, board operators, and fellow technical directors to learn more about advanced programming, creating effects, and magic sheets. I also learned about working with control networks and Eos family systems. - July 2013
Nemetschek Vectorworks Workshop at Boston College - July 2014
My predecessor, John Larrance, and I hosted an LED Workshop to show local schools the different kinds of LED lighting instruments out on the market, and the advantages of using LED technology in their venues. - August 2014
I enjoy attending live music events, helping out with local productions, kayaking, sailing, and ice-skating on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa. I recently went skydiving with a few of my former students and decided to pursue a USPA A license for skydiving. Twenty-four more jumps to go! Also, although it’s a rare occasion, I enjoy going out for wings with my friends and colleagues.
