Melissa Ondrovcik received her M.A. from the University of Massachusetts in 2004 in German Language and Literature. In addition to many years spent teaching German at UMass, Melissa has also taught at Smith College, Mt. Holyoke College, Clark University, and the University of Mississippi. Her research interests include urban aesthetics, surveillance and resistance; contemporary Familienromanen; and ethnographies, oral histories and Holocaust testimonies. At St. Lawrence, Melissa teaches German language courses. Melissa also owns Bramble Lea Farm, where she grows organic vegetables.
