McKayla completed her undergraduate work at St. Lawrence in 2012, receiving her B.S. in Mathematics and Fine Arts. As an undergraduate, she minored in Education and completed her professional semester of student teaching at Brasher Falls CSD in the Fall of 2012. While at Brasher Falls she worked with two cooperating mathematics teachers and helped coach a middle school robotics team. At SLU, McKayla was a member and co-captain of the Women's Cross Country and Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field Programs, a member of the Student Athletic Council (SAAC), and was a Desk Attendant at the Stafford Fitness Center.
McKayla has returned to SLU to pursue her masters degree in General Studies and plans on graduating in the Spring of 2014. She is currently a substitute teacher at Beaver River Central School and St. Lawrence Central School. In addition, she works as the Assistant Director of the Peterson Quantitative Resource Center (PQRC) at St. Lawrence University and is a LiveText Training Assistant in the Education Department.
