Lorie MacKenzie

Lorie MacKenzie came to St. Lawrence in July of 2001, where she currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Academic Planning & Administration and University Registrar. Lorie graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Hartwick College and earned her master’s degree with distinction from SUNY Potsdam. In her current position, Lorie serves as a member of Dean’s Staff and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the work connected to the Registrar's Office and for providing effective fiscal management and strategic planning for the division of Academic Affairs. In addition, she oversees the work of Institutional Research, Community-Based Learning and the Campus Services and Outreach areas of LIT.

While at St. Lawrence, Lorie has served on several committees, including most recently the Academic Affairs Committee, the Academic Standing Committee, the Retention Committee, the Enterprise Systems Prioritization Committee, the Information Security Committee, the Budget & Finance Committee, the Middle States Standard I Working Group, the Calendar Committee,  and the Assessment Committee, along with participating as a member of many University search committees. In the past, she also team-taught in the First-Year Program. offered Rhetoric & Public Speaking, and served as the University Mentor for the Women’s Field Hockey team.
