Hello! As a recent graduate of St. Lawrence University I am very happy to continue staying connected to the SLU community in a new way. I am one of four Residential Coordinators and I work with four of the upperclass residence halls (Dean Eaton, Sykes, Hulett and Jencks). Some of my responsibilities include working with residents of these buildings, working with the Community Assistants that serve in these buildings, managing the CA Selection processes, and assisting with the overall mission of Student Life. I also enjoy learning more about conflict resolution and have completed two NY State Certification Training Programs in Conflict Resolution.
Before becoming a Residential Coordinator, I was an active member of the SLU student body and then graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree. I was a Mathematics major with Psychology and Peace Studies minors, but I also worked with a number of clubs and organizations connected with the greater SLU community. While a student I spent much of my time interacting with Residence Life, first as a Community Assistant for my sophomore and junior years then serving as a Building Coordinator in my senior year.
In my spare time, I like to continue to be engaged in the Canton community. I frequently volunteer in the community and I also love attending many of the SLU events---I'm sure you'll see me at your community meetings, different concerts and performances, athletic events, or sharing a meal with friends at one of our great dining facilities! Some of my hobbies also include scrapbooking, baking desserts, spending time outside, kayaking, and continuing to learn through my graduate courses.
As an alum, I am involved in the Class of 2012 Young Alumni Network and I love talking with prospective students. I also recently created and funded the Stemler Civic Engagement Award as a way to give back to service oriented students at St. Lawrence University. If you are passionate about service in the North Country, please apply!
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, or if you would just like to, stop by my office and talk about all of the wonderful things that you can do at SLU.
