Laura Ellis was appointed Vice President for University Advancement in 2012. She brings to St. Lawrence a career in alumni relations and development from diverse institutions including Cornell University's Weill Medical College, Albany Medical College, the University at Albany (SUNY), Columbia University's Teachers College, and most recently Pace University.
Laura earned bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in nutritional sciences from Cornell University, and a master's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Michigan. After conducting post-doctoral research in nutritional biochemistry, she embarked on a 20-year career in advancement.
Laura provides strategic direction, leadership, and administrative oversight over development, alumni relations, and advancement services. She looks forward to meeting alumni both to learn how St. Lawrence has made a difference in their lives, and to find new ways to engage them in the life of the University.
