Kim graduated from St. Lawrence University with a BA in English, concentrating in Writing, and a minor in Outdoor Studies, in 2006. Originally hailing from New Hampshire, Kim has been based in the Northwest since 2006. Kim’s life pursuits tend to reflect the current season; in the winter she skis and in the summer she paddles. She also runs, reads, and writes—time, weather, and attention-span permitting. Kim has been teaching for the National Outdoor Leadership School since 2010. Most recently, Kim spent the last three years studying at the University of Montana in Missoula, earning an MFA in Creative Writing, concentrating in Nonfiction, and an MA in Literature, concentrating in Eco-criticism, in the spring of 2016.
