Kim Hissong

Kim Hissong was appointed Associate Vice President for University Advancement on September 1, 2014. She brings to the position over 15 years of experience at St. Lawrence University in alumni relations, advancement operations, and development, having served the University as Executive Director of Annual Giving & Laurentian Engagement for 11 years and previously as Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Programs. During that time, Kim has served as an active member of the Advancement Management Team, was the liaison to the Advancement and Engagement Committee of the University’s Alumni Executive Council, and managed the trustee to trustee solicitation program. 

As Associate Vice President, Kim oversees major gift fundraising, alumni relations and annual giving programs, advancement operations, and donor relations efforts. Her primary roles include supervision of development and alumni relations activities related to outright giving up to the principal gifts level ($1m+), and guidance on activities related to campaign planning, implementation, and tracking. Prior to joining St. Lawrence, Kim worked for four years as the executive director of a non-profit advocacy and counseling organization based in Canton, NY, and has served on several non-profit boards and foundations.

Kim is an alumna of St. Lawrence University and grew up in Canton where she lives with her family, including her son, Jack.
