Mr. Kevin B. MacKenzie
I began my career in higher education at Edison College in Florida and began my career at St. Lawrence University in December of 2003.
When not at the university, I'm better known as MudRat-a photographer and writer with works published in The Adirondack Journal of Environmental Studies, Adirondack Life, Adirondack Rock, Blue Lines 2, Adirondack Outdoors, Adirondac, Peeks, Wild Northeast and Adirondack Almanack. I’m currently in the process of finishing two book projects on Adirondack backcountry climbing. This journey has taken me up hundreds of scrambling/rock/ice climbing routes set in the most remote High Peak regions—Adirondack mountaineering in all seasons. Other projects include pioneering new rock and ice climbing routes on Mt. Marcy and Mt. Haystack (Panther Gorge). Additional details on PG may be found in Adirondack Explorer & Climbing Magazine. I am also involved in local search and rescue efforts. Additional information including a list of published works is listed on my website.
