I graduated in 2010 from St. Lawrence, with a major in Biology and Minor in African studies. As a student I spent a semester in Kenya, where I studied cheetah behavior and conservation in rapidly developing landscapes. Since, I have pursued diverse opportunities in ecological research, including two seasons of forest health surveys in Colorado for the Forest Service, and a stint studying climate change and tropical forest dynamics at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. I have also supported research studying the ecology of Lyme disease systems at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, NY, and continue to be interested in the issues at the intersection of human and ecosystem health.
I am happy to return to Canton as Project Manager for the Nature Up North program, and I welcome collaboration with students and professors that will promote environmental education and outdoor recreation in the North Country.
