Heidi Pitzer is completing her Ph.D. in Cultural Foundations of Education at Syracuse University, and she has an M.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Cincinnati. Her specialization is in sociology of education, and she takes an interdisciplinary approach in studying the practices, contexts and purposes of education. Heidi’s research interests include social justice education; inequality and urban education; critical literacies; and teacher identity and teacher labor. Heidi is thrilled to be teaching at St. Lawrence University!
