Hagi Bradley is the Vice President and Dean of Student Life at St. Lawrence University, a position he has held since July 2019.
Hagi grew up in Louisiana and still loves the food from down there. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with minors in Political Science and Psychology from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. As an undergraduate student, he was heavily involved in many numerous clubs and organizations on campus. After his undergrad life, Hagi worked for Millsaps in the Admissions Office for two years. He enjoyed working with students and helping them to reach their full potential through coming to college, and decided to pursue his Master of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration at Louisiana State University (GEAUX Tigers), working in student housing and then Greek Life. After going to Bowling Green State University to work as the Coordinator of Residence Life/Greek Life for a year, Hagi returned to LSU in a larger role in the Greek Affairs Office. After a couple years, Hagi decided to enroll in the PhD program in Sociology with an emphasis in Race, Juvenile Delinquency in Education, and Social, Cultural, Religious Capital, earned a second graduate degree, and taught the “Current Social Problems” class for a number of years, which he greatly enjoyed. Hagi then served as the Associate Director of Student Life and then the Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs/Director of Special Projects at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Hagi’s next five years were spent at Sewanee: The University of the South, first as the Assistant and then as the Associate Dean of Students. It was at Sewanee that Hagi was given the title of “Dean of Fun,” a title he truly embraces and lives out fully. Hagi was selected as the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students at Earlham College during the 2017 summer and was extremely excited to get his dream job of being a Chief Student Affairs Officer at a liberal-arts college in a dream location when he came to St. Lawrence in the Summer of 2019.
One of Hagi's favorite and most exciting parts of his position is meeting the students, helping usher them through their college development, and ensuring that students have a great and safe time here at the University. Hagi can often be found walking around campus with his dog Boudreaux (pronounced Boo-Dro), meeting the students, and talking with them. He also enjoys movies of all types (but cartoons are his favorite), college football, music concerts, and his newest past-time of hiking waterfalls in NY (hiked 34 his first full summer in NY). Hagi also LOVES Yoda and Baby Yoda and a number of gifts he's been given over the years of both these amazing beings are on display in his office. In meeting him, it is people always remark that he seems to care a great deal and has an amazing love for life!!!
