Passionate about telling impactful stories, Amelia Jantzi joined the University Communications team in August 2021. She manages the University’s social media channels, creates content that continues to elevate St. Lawrence’s brand on the national level, and assists and advises departments on campus on social media best practices.
Prior to her position in University Communications, Amelia spent two and a half years working in Advancement at St. Lawrence University where she managed affinity-based alumni events and engaged alumni online by managing social media for the Alumni Association. A North Country native, Amelia returned to her hometown of Potsdam, N.Y., in September 2018 after working in social media and communications for a global faith-based nonprofit network in London, United Kingdom. She also brings insights from her time working in development and communications for local faith-based nonprofits in the Albany, N.Y., area.

A runner, hiker, and amateur photographer, Amelia finds herself enjoying all the beauty the North Country has to offer on most weekends without snow. In the winter, Amelia is more likely to be found enjoying a good book or a new baking recipe.
