Information for Faculty & Staff
Student retention is a campus-wide effort. To help us better understand sources of student dissatisfaction and provide support to students more effectively, the Retention Committee would like to know about students who are expressing unhappiness with their St. Lawrence experience and possibly considering withdrawing/transferring.
If you encounter a student who expresses dissatisfaction and is considering leaving St. Lawrence because of it, we hope you will fill out this brief survey, which includes a question on whether or not the student would like to be contacted by a member of the Retention Committee to discuss their situation. Our goal is not to invade students’ privacy, but to help ensure that we as a community work to meet students’ needs and help them make their experience what they hoped it would be when they accepted our offer of admission.
The Retention Committee also welcomes suggestions from faculty and staff for ways to improve student success and engagement, whether minor tweaks to programming and policies or major initiatives. The committee will explore all suggestions.
