The Top-10 St. Lawrence University News Stories from 2017

The largest donation ever made to St. Lawrence University as well as the largest incoming class, the Class of 2021, were among the Top-10 news stories of 2017.

Laurentians are proud of their University, and they’re proud that it ranks highly in a number of national rankings, as indicated by the number of times these stories were read online and shared. St. Lawrence received high marks for both its value and its strong alumni network by publishers such as The Princeton Review and College Rank.

Commencement 2017, which took place on May 21, bestowed honorary degrees to U.S. Sen. Susan M. Collins ’75, former St. Lawrence professor and president of Wagner College Richard Guarasci, and founder of The Eisner Foundation, Jane (Breckenridge) Eisner.

St. Lawrence also is excitedly looking ahead to a study being completed by global design firm HOK, which will eventually lead to upgrades for Appleton Arena.
