Students to Choreograph, Perform in Fall Dance Concert

St. Lawrence University students will showcase their artistic talents at the Fall 2019 Dance Concert in Gulick Theatre beginning on Thursday, Dec. 5 through Saturday, Dec. 7. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for performances on Friday and Saturday.

All aspects of the concert involve students thanks to the efforts of Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance Kerri Canedy, Technical Director Dan Gallagher, Costume Shop Supervisor Selina French, and others. The concert will feature 15 performances, including 12 pieces by student choreographers, and a variety of dance styles including ballet, modern, contemporary, hip hop and jazz. More than 100 students are involved in the production, including 80 performers, 12 student light designers, and those students on the backstage and costume crews. The concert includes pieces from the dance classes, as well as from the Dance Ensemble and Graceful Movements student clubs.
