St. Lawrence Exceeds Class of 2022 Enrollment Target
St. Lawrence University has exceeded its enrollment targets for the incoming Class of 2022 this fall. Although the total number of students who matriculate will not be final until the institutional census in November, enrollment is expected to be one of the institution’s largest class sizes in recent history.
As of May 5, the Office of Admissions recorded 652 enrollment deposits, with incremental added commitments expected in the next week, on an original base target of 644.
"The Admissions team and the entire St. Lawrence community did it again," President William L. Fox said. "The class of 2022 will arrive in August as strong and talented as ever. There is no better indicator of St. Lawrence’s appeal and quality than our most recent Admissions season of success."
The current composition of the incoming class is more than 13 percent students of color, more than 8 percent international students, more than 19 percent first-generation students, and 32 percent student-athletes. The Class of 2022 is expected to include more than 110 legacy students, that is, students with a relative who attended St. Lawrence.
“St. Lawrence is ready to welcome its Class of 2022 in August,” said Vice President and Dean of Student Life Joseph Tolliver. “From our Global Gateways Program for international students to our First-Year Program, Student Life and Academic Affairs are finalizing the details that make the St. Lawrence student experience exceptional and one of the best in the nation.”
